Course description

The ability to tell a story with data is more important that ever, and in the data-rich field of healthcare, it has only become more important. From health care providers to public health and government officials, data literacy is a skill that can create new value for you and your organization.

Through five modules, class participants will build out their own data story using data customized to locations of their choosing, and the course will also provide a toolkit of resources to help participants integrate learnings from this class into their professional work.

Throughout the training, we’ll gain inspiration from health data stories created by highly regarded data visualization professionals, and we’ll learn how to apply data visualization to various types of health information, from disease prevalence and health economics to the social determinants of health and health care quality.

Learners who purchase the full course package will have the option to engage in LIVE office hours with the course instructor, which will be held once per quarter.
