On June 28, 2018, I was happy to have presented at the 3rd Annual Precision Medicine Leaders Summit. Co-presenters on the panel included Yauheni Soldad, MD, Medical Director, Digital Health, Yale New Haven Health and Rahul Patel, MS, EVP &GM – Healthcare & Life Sciences, Persistent Systems, Inc. Moderated by Ashish Atreja, MD, MPH, Asst. Professor & Chief Innovation Officer, Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, our panel, titled Can Digital Medicine Help Facilitate a Move to Precision Health focused on:
- Going beyond genes to look at digital biomarkers for precision population health;
- Remote monitoring and its impact on the delivery of precision medicine/health;
- Real-time data from a patient, including environmental and social determinants of health; and
- Digital engagement: Assessing the behavior of patients in terms of their interaction with healthcare providers, and the subsequent intervention by those providers.
